Cola Postel ADAMS, 58, of Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia, died September 15, 1968, in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennesssee. He is survived by wife, Dimple Hall Adams; son, Richard Adams; daughter, Mrs. Tom (Jeanette) Greeson; mother, Lina Johnson; brother, James Adams; half brothers, Melvin, Wallace and Benny Johnson; eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Five Springs Methodist Church on September 17, 1968. The Rev. Lloyd Lovern, the Rev. Lloyd Duffey and the Rev. George Wannamaker officiated. Interment was in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home of Dalton was in charge of the arrangements.

Dimple Hall ADAMS, 81, died April 4, 1997 in Dalton, Whitfield County, Geotgia. The daughter of Albert Lee and Mary Elizabeth Bramblett Hall, she was born August 12, 1915, in Murray County, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cola Postel Adams. Survivors include son, Richard Adams; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and Tom Greeson; grandchildren, Rebecca McEntire, Teresa Silverman, Lee Greeson, Laura Henderson and Jimmy Adams; great-grandchildren, Kelly McEntire, Hunter and Elizabeth Henderson, Tori Adams, Hannah and Abigail Silverman; sister, Darcia Black; brother, William M. Hall; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were April 6, 1997 in the chapel of Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home with the Revs. David Jenkins, Claude Fouts and Richard Nayson officiating. Interment was in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home of Dalton was in charge of the arrangements.

Richard ADAMS, 65, died July 13, 1998, in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia. He was an active member of the Five Springs United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men's Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cola Postel and Dimple Hall Adams. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Patty Adams; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Sam Silverman; grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Charlie Silverman, Jessie House, Tori Leigh Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Tom Greeson; uncle, William "Jack" Hall; aunt, Darcia Black; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held July 15, 1998 at the Chapel of Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Jordan officiating. Interment was in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Terry Hall, Chris Hall, Gary Patterson, Bill Hutto, Donald Bailey, Jim Strickle and Hoyt Gazaway. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Valley Point High School Class of 1949. Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Vonda ADKINSSON, 69, of Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia, died August 26, 2000. She was a native of Crossville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Ethyl Sells. Funeral services were held on August 28, 2000 in the Heritage Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Dale R. Wolf and Sherry Jones officiating. Mrs. Allen was born October 8, 1925, in Whitfield County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Mitchell and Sarah Green Hooker. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Martha Williams and Macie Allen Spivey and a sister, Cora Keener. Services were August 13, 2000 from the chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Revs. Scott Parrish and Lamar Beason officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia. Funeral arrangements were handled by Ponders Funeral Home, Melrose Drive Chapel, Dalton, Georgia.

William Robert "Bill" ANDERSON, 75, of Rocky Face, Whitfield County, Georgia, died October 9, 2000 in Dalton, Georgia. He was the son of the late Lacewell and Exa Stanfield Anderson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ozella Leatherwood Anderson. Funeral services were held October 11, 2000 in the Chapel of the Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Erwin Crider and the Rev. George Owen officiating. Burial was in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton, Georgia. Love Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Girvis Lee ARMSTRONG, 79, of Lafayette, Walker County, Georgia, died August 7, 2000, in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia. Mrs. Armstrong was born January 22, 1921, in Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter of the late Roland and Ruby Brown. Mrs. Armstrong was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Jessie Brown and sister, Ruth Caldwell. Services were held August 9, 2000 in the chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev.
