Cecil NEWTON, 72, of Dalton, Georgia died October 27, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Oma Newton; two brothers, Leonard Newton and Edward Newton. Survivors include one daughter and friend, Janice and Steve Ballew; one granddaughter, Stephanie Ballew and one grandson, Gabriel Garner; three sisters, Kelsie Burgess, Frances Todd, and Ethel Newton; two brothers, Grady Newton and Winston Newton; nephews and nieces. The funeral was at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clyde Painter officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia. Julian Peeples Funeral Home of Dalton, Georgia was in charge of the arrangements.

John NUCKOLLS, 76, of 111 Oak Street in Rossville, died yesterday at 1:30 p.m. in the Tri-County Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna King Nuckolls of Rossville; one son, Mr. James Nuckolls of Rossville; three daughters, Mrs Ethel Ammons of Palatka, FL., Mrs. Barbara Gallman of Crandall, Mrs. Kathy Shelton of Farmington, New Mexico; Nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 am from the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Price and Rev. B. B. Dawn officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home where family will receive friends tommorow morning after 10. Love Funeral Home is in Charge.
