William Robert PARKER, 88, died at the County Home on December 7, 1940. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held December 8, 1940 at Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home. Interment was in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Kenemer Brothers Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Lenora Stinnett PEDEN, 88, of Cohutta, GA died March 30, 2002. She was born September 23, 1913, Greenbriar, TN. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Lucinda Gray Stinnett and the wife of the late Wade Calvin Peden. She was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Roy Russell Stinnett and brothers, Wilce, Caswell, David and Garland Stinnett, Hubert and Andrew Naugher; sister, Dicie Stinnett Cole. Funeral services were April 1, 2002 at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Dempsey officiating. Interment was in Hopewell Cemetery. Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton, GA. was in charge of arrangements.

Ann Barksdale PHELAN, 54, died December 28, 1981 in Whitfield County, Dalton, GA. She is survived by daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Harbin; son, Edward Phelan; sisters, Mrs. Betty Black, Mrs. Hazel Groves, Mrs. Rachel Green, Mrs. Helen Chapman, Mrs. Ruth Palazzolo and Mrs. Mary Merritt; grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held December 31, 1981 from the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Father Tony Curran officiating. Interment was in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Love Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Connie Sue Defore Phillips, 46, died in Whitfield County, Dalton, GA on August 9, 2000. She was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Bertha Defore; sisters, Mary Bradley, Barbara Babb, and Diane Moore. Survivors include husband, Vernon Phillips; daughter, Sheila Paules; son, Anthony Vaughn; sisters, Geraldine Huffman, Carolyn Defore, Genell Prue and Cathy Bedwell; brothers, Jerry, Ernest, Gordon, Larry and Robert Defore; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were August 11, 2000 at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Defore and Rev. Jason Pace officiating. Interment was in Lindsey Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Rocky Face, GA. Julian Peeples Funeral Home of Dalton was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Beaulah June Radford PLOTT, 73, of Dalton, GA died November 29, 2002. Mrs. Plott was born April 19, 1929, in McMinn County, TN, daughter of the late Newton Curtis and Gusta West Radford. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Stone. Mrs. Plott is survived by her husband; son and daughter-in-law; stepson; grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and numerous great-grandchildren. Services were December 1, 2002 at Olivia Baptist Church. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were by Ponders Melrose Chapel, 138 Melrose Drive, Dalton, GA.

Mary Elizabeth Bradley PONDER, 77, of Tunnel Hill, GA died January 12, 2002 in Dalton, GA. Mrs. Ponder was born February 16, 1924 in Gilmer County, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia Surprise Bradley, her husband, Tom Ponder and a daughter, Edna Paige. Funeral services were held January 14, 2002 at the Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Williams and Rev. Jim Brinkley officiating.
