Nellie Lou "Nannie" Bennett TEASLEY, 77, of Dalton, GA passed away April 21, 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Susie Bennett; infant son, Lamar Roberts; a sister, Johnnie Stark. Survivors include her husband; son and daughter-in-law; four daughters and sons-in-law; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters. The funeral was held on April 23, 2004 at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home. Burial was in the West Hill Cemetery. Julian Peeple Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton, GA was in charge of the arrangements.

Wiley Samuel THOMPSON, 73, of Dalton, GA. passed away February 23, 1939, after an illness of several months. Up until a few years ago when ill health caused his retirement from active business life, he was a prominent merchant in North Dalton. Besides his widow, Mrs. Mary Campbell Thompson, he is survived by five children; H. E. Thompson, and Mrs. C. F. Berry, of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. B. H. Wood and Mrs. W. C. (Eula Mae) Cleckler of Dalton, and William Thompson of Atlanta, GA. Funeral services were conducted from Hamilton Street Methodist Church, where he was a member. Mr. Thompson was a member of the Woodmen of the World and of the Dalton Lodge of the Odd Fellows. Interment was in West Hill Cemetery.

Bertha Bell Patterson TILTON, 94, of Canton, MI, and formerly of Murray County, GA, died July 30, 2000, in Whitfield County, Dalton, GA. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held August 4, 2000 in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home. Interment was in Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL. Peeples Funeral Home of Murray County, Chatsworth, GA was in charge of the arrangements.

Jimmie Sue Brewster TRAMMELL, 69, of Walker County, LaFayette, GA, died September 18, 2000, in Whitfield County, Dalton, GA. Mrs. Trammell was born February 28, 1931, in Cherokee County, AL. Mrs. Trammell was preceded in death by her husband, William James Trammell; father, Clarence Brewster; daughter-in-law, Eloise Brewster; and granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Brewster. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, mother, brother, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held September 22, 2000 in the chapel of Ponders Funeral Home. Interment was in the Sand Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Centre, AL. Ponders Funeral Home, Melrose Drive Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
