Annie Jones DAVENPORT, 81, of Dalton, GA, died February 25, 2003. She was born November 24, 1921, in Fannin County, GA, daughter of the late Clayton and Sarah Elizabeth Sluder Jones. Her husband William “Willie” Bethel Davenport and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law; sons and daughters-in-law; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and sister. Funeral services were February 28, 2003 from the Hipps Chapel Methodist Church. Interment was at the Hipps Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Fannin County, GA. Ponders Funeral Home of Dalton, GA was in charge of the arrangements.

Nancy Jane Parker DUNN, 83, of Whitfield County, Dalton, GA, died April 14, 2001. She was born August 15, 1917, in Murray County, GA, daughter of the late Fincher and Alice Henson Parker. Her husband, Robert Lewis Dunn; a grandson, Michael Parker; sisters, Rosie Greeson and Augusta Voyles, and a brother, Etmon Parker, also preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Dalton, GA, with Victor Vance officiating. Interment was in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Ponders Funeral Home, Melrose Drive Chapel, Dalton, GA.
